What is a batch?
A batch is an end product quantity of products that have been created under the same circumstances during batch production. For example, tiles that come from one fire. A batch is labeled with a batch number, which is then often entered into databases.
Batch labeling is a must in various areas:
- Pharmaceutical industry
- Food industry
- Building
- Automobile
If a problem occurs with a batch, batch tracing can be used to determine which products have also been manufactured in the same production process and where they are currently located. So that these can easily be withdrawn from circulation, as they could have the same defects.
