What is distribution logistics?
Distribution logistics, also known as sales logistics, comprises various transportation processes for products, regardless of whether these are storage or handling processes. The result is a series of processes and tasks between producers and consumers.
Distribution logistics is divided into three areas of responsibility:
- Strategic tasks
- Tactical tasks
- Operational tasks
The idea behind this is to minimize transport and storage costs as much as possible. The aim is also to achieve greater influence and higher availability.
