Industrial trucks, part 2

What are industrial trucks?

Transport and conveying equipment such as pallet trucks and forklift trucks are industrial trucks. These vehicles are mainly used for horizontal goods transportation in warehouses and production halls of companies.

Classic forklift trucks are the most important material handling vehicles in industry and trade, e.g. for lifting goods stored on mesh baskets or Euro pallets. Telescopic forklifts are mainly used in agriculture and construction, as they can store crops at a height of several meters with their extended telescopic arm.

Smaller industrial trucks such as pallet trucks do not require a forklift license, whereas this is required for forklift trucks.

Trackless industrial trucks include, for example:

  • Forklift truck
  • Cross stacker
  • Tugboat
  • Hand pallet truck
  • Low lift truck
  • Pallet truck
