What is multi-order picking?
Multi-order picking, also known as batch picking, is a fixed principle for creating a picking order. The higher the combination of several individual orders, the higher the time and distance saved by a worker. This principle enables a considerable increase in picking performance. The picked items are allocated to the various individual orders once picking is complete.
Advantages of multi-order picking:
- Higher picking performance
- Higher throughput rate
- Increased efficiency
- Savings potential
- Higher goods throughput per shift
