What is a package?
A package is a quantity of goods to be shipped by the shipper that are bundled into a unit and shipped together. These may be crates, pallets, lattice boxes, roll containers or similar.
As a rule, this unit is provided with a unique identifier during the transportation process which makes it possible to trace its route. According to this definition, two parcels sent by a courier are each a single package. A pallet with a variety of different goods that is not split up during transportation from the sender to the recipient is also considered a package.
