Pick-to-belt: from the article directly to the conveyor belt
As picking is about speed and accuracy, the picking methods differ depending on the goods and their properties. Pick-to-belt is a picking technology based on the operator (picker) placing the item directly from the storage compartment or loading aid onto a conveyor belt. This in turn is connected to the corresponding packing station in the context of a small parts warehouse.
Due to the direct removal, items are fed directly to a sorter so that they can then be allocated more precisely to individual picking orders. Pick-to-belt is primarily used in small parts warehouses, which can be automated to a high degree.
