Quantity planning

Quantity planning

A smooth logistics process is primarily based on planning that takes into account all sub-parameters (storage capacities, throughput times, etc.). Solid material procurement based on quantity planning is particularly important in the retail and manufacturing sectors. This refers to a focus on parts required for production or sales, which are defined in terms of type, quantity, deadline and, if applicable, location (warehouse, branch, etc.).

In logistics in particular, scheduling and capacity planning are heavily dependent on quantity planning, which in turn allows orders to be optimally planned and coordinated.
