Control station

What is meant by control station?

In intralogistics, the control station is a central point of a warehouse management system and helps employees to control warehouse operations. All operating states of the material flow systems are clearly displayed on a screen in the control station. This means that malfunctions and faults can be detected immediately and the necessary measures for efficient rectification can be initiated as quickly as possible. By using a control station, a significant increase in production and cost reduction can be achieved in the planning and processing of the material flow.

Functions of the control station:

  • Controlling
  • Planning
  • Optimization
  • Visualization
  • Target and actual comparison
  • Pointing out performance limits
  • Display of the system status
