Digitalized supply chain for the food industry

From March 19 to 22, the proLogistik Group will be presenting innovative software solutions specifically for the food and beverage industry at the Anuga FoodTec trade fair in Hall 07.1, Stand B038.

With its wide range of warehouse management systems (WMS), transport management systems (TMS) and industry-specific software solutions and services, the proLogistik Group has become the leading logistics consultant. Customers benefit from an expanded portfolio that covers the entire supply chain and sets the course for sustainable processes. After all, the entire transport and warehouse processes can only be carried out efficiently and optimally if intralogistics software, transport solutions and hardware provide optimum support with the corresponding functions. This is where the proLogistik Group comes in with special software and optimally tailored solutions for the food and beverage industry.

Correct storage: cold chains & fresh goods always in view

In view of the challenges posed by the climate crisis, companies are required to develop special solutions. They should not only save energy, but also rethink storage locations and transportation routes and design them ecologically. In this context, shelves become more flexible or higher and deliveries are planned efficiently.

For the food industry, the proLogistik Group has developed special functions for the Warehouse Management System – which is tested and certified annually by the Fraunhofer Institute. It not only monitors the required temperatures for fresh and frozen items, but also integrates additives such as dry ice into the transport and interim storage structures. The dead man function is also integrated, a feature that is vital in an emergency. The system also performs tasks such as barcode checking and batch tracing.

More transparency and efficiency for refrigerated transport thanks to real-time data

The proLogistik Group offers a stable and sophisticated telematics system for the digitalization of transport processes: From Track & Trace and permanently updated estimated times of arrival (ETA) to the digital mapping of a wide range of processes in mobile order management, the telematics app also includes application options specifically for refrigerated transport.

Variable vehicle data – including temperature data from the load compartment – is monitored seamlessly and in real time. This means that the closed cold chain of food can be checked and verified at any time, even during the transportation process. Solutions that make transport as efficient as possible also make the decisive difference, especially for temperature-critical deliveries: AI-supported software such as pLG Route Planning or pLG Route Optimization from the proLogistik Group support the drivers on the route and ensure impressive time and cost savings.

The proLogistik Group is looking forward to personal discussions at Anuga FoodTec from March 19 to 22, 2024 in Hall 07.1, Stand B038.
