What is an AutoStore storage system?
The AutoStore storage system is a now widely used robotic solution for the automated storage and retrieval of small parts with over 1,450 installations in more than 50 countries worldwide. No shelving is required for storage. An AutoStore storage system consists of modular plastic containers that are stacked on top of each other in a compacted grid-like system. The containers are automatically moved and restacked by robots and, if required, delivered to the order picker or picking robot for the removal of individual parts.
This is an automated storage and retrieval system (ASRS - Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems), which is characterized by an extremely high storage density. In addition, an AutoStore storage system can be expanded very flexibly during operation. AutoStore is the fastest order processing system (per square meter) on the market. AutoStore technology is compatible with third-party solutions.
The AutoStore storage system is produced by the company of the same name, based in Norway. Production facilities are located in Koszalin, Poland and Rayong, Thailand. There are also subsidiaries in Norway, the USA, the UK, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Austria, South Korea, Japan, Australia and Singapore.
